Hello,I hope someone can clear a family tree query up for me,my great great grandmother was rose annie lawrence,born 1863 in Canterbury,her father was Edmund Lawrence and she married James Francis,I have been trying to find her mother,one site has her mother as Caroline Staines,born around 1827 in kent,yet another site has her mother as Caroline henniker 1823-1900,any help clearing this problem up would be greatly appreciated,kind regards Dean

Caroline Henniker married Thomas Staines in Canterbury 8 November 1846

Thomas Staines died 1854 in Canterbury

Caroline Staines, a 31 year old widow married Edmund Lawrence a 28 year old bachelor in Canterbury 12 December 1855.

pretty much confirming everyone else but I did the research so here goes:

In 1861 Caroline Lawrence is 38 (1823) Kent Westwell

There is a christening Caroline Henniker 1823 Westwell, father Edward

Caroline Henniker married Thomas Staines? Canterbury, Nov 8th 1846, her father Edward,

A Thomas Staines died Canterbury Q3 1854

Edmund Lawrence married Caroline Stainer Q4 1855
Boyd, Dove, Blakey, Burdon

added: Thomas and Caroline are indeed at the Flying Horse (head Harriet Rayner) in the 1851 census as ostler and servant.

Believe Caroline may have had a "criminal record" for concealing the birth of a child in 1845
