John and Sarah Sales

John Sales 1762-1830 was born and buried at Edenbridge.
Sarah Unknown ~1760-1844 was born and buried at Edenbridge.
Their nine children 1785-1809 were all born at Edenbridge.
Looking for help in finding Sarah's maiden name please.

There's this one at St Mary the Virgin, Westerham.

John Sales, bachelor to Sarah Parker, spinster, both of this parish, by banns - 8th February 1780
both made their mark X

There are several Sales but no Johns.

John Sales and Sarah Parker had all their children born at Westerham.
There is also a John Sales who married Sarah King at Oxted, but all their children were born at Oxted.
I'm just a bit stuck with who the Sales' from Edenbridge are.
Can you tell me if there is an address for transcriptions of births and deaths at Edenbridge please.

I'm afraid the baptisms and burials only have Edenbridge on them
The 1841 census for Sarah has her in Marsh Green Edenbridge.

There are many John Sales listed on The Weald website

but I can't see another suitable one in the time frame

Ancestry has transcribed Sarah's place of birth as Robertsbridge, Kent (it's actually in Sussex).  I'm not sure how they came to that conclusion as there is just an 'N' in the whether born in county box.

Thanks again bearkat. That Weald website is very interesting although Edenbridge doesn't seem to get mentioned much before 1830, and the John and Sarah Sales family I'm asking about don't appear anywhere. Also I haven't noticed before about the birthplace of Sarah on the census. It may help me though in the future.
