We've now gone through the thunderstorms!  Let's see what tomorrow brings  :-\

After not so good weather in Teignmouth over the weekend, till we left yesterday it is sweltering  here at 07.30 this morning, a storm would clear the air

Gorgeous thunderstorm, complete downpouring of rain here last afternoon / early evening. Late in evening went out into beautifully cool and damp garden -especially the couple of seat cushions I'd forgotten to bring in when I brought in my washing and put down the big parasols when the "feeling" of the air changed, and it all threatened.
Hot as an overheating radiator again this morning. Skulking round the house, following the cat, seeking out a cool spot to lurk.

A nice afternoon yesterday, with eldest son,his pleasant wife, youngest son and myself , phoned him this morning at 8-10 when he was exactly 66.
Had the salmon tagliatelle and then chocolate cake etc.
Gorgeous morning, weeded all the pavement alongside my front garden and down the lane to the house corner.
So then when my son’s flame throwers weed killer comes I can do down the side house wall to the side garden gate. There is a French drain there and bulrushes grow in profusion if left .Tough to move  but they can limit the drain’s efficiency. So burn the blighters!

Will invite the lady who is so,poorly sighted to come for tea or coffee  and cake with ice cream ( she often says how she loves that) under the garden parasol this afternoon .
I have a beef stew to do for tea ,but so hot , can pressure cook it though and eat when cooler this evening.
Otherwise it is omelette and salad I am afraid .
Well I need a cold drink ,a quick tidy up, and phone my friend.
Hope all are well, those not well some improvement.

Cheerio folks.
Viktoria.
