As the baptism doesn’t seem to be found in online resources, I was wondering if his father’s  death affected the arrangement. However that seems unlikely.
I did have a quick look yesterday to see if there was a Liverpool baptism but didn’t see one.

Thanks I have looked all over. Finding John's death took me a long time, and this baptism is proving illusive.

Dont forget to check non conformist registers.

Main church
St Chads, Rochdale, parish church, also St Marys Wardleworth. C of E  then many small chapels, eg Wesleyan, Baptist.

Packer Street is central in Rochdale  and still there as  is School Lane.

Local studies "Touchstones" is moving temp to another address for work to be done in the building but if you check out their website they have a list of all the churches and chapels some of which are not on ancestry..

Hope this helps..
