There was a Canadian Passenger List - John Waugh born 1886 and aged 25 years - Liverpool to Montreal 18 August 1911 on the Corsican.  Single (ditto)  Going to Brantford Ontario.  Labourer.  :-\
Which would mean he missed that 1911 census  :-\
