Death certificate from 1990

is it possible to buy a death certificate from 1990? Not having much luck finding out if it's possible :(

Yes it is. Was the death in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland? Different answers apply.

You can order a copy of the death certificate from GRO Roscommon.  They do “research copies” ie photocopies, but not sure if these are available for a year as recent as 1990. Website should tell you.

You can e-mail your order to them, pay on-line, and they will e-mail or post the certificate back to you.
