Drew Family Hirwaun

Hi everyone,
Need some clarification on some information I have found. Been tracing some family in WW1 and WW2 I have newspaper details that my relations mother was Mary Drew nee Jones but I have in my tree a Margaret Thomas as the mother who married William Drew in 1881 Merthyr Tydfil on checking there is a Mary Jones married same day. On the 1891 cenus there a Margaret as wife and mother in law as well with the surname Thomas but there's a
Mary Jones as visitor. Is the newpaper wrong  many thanks

Children’s births show Mothers maiden name was Thomas - mother in law Lydia Thomas in household.  Mary A Jones was single

www.freebmd.org.uk shows a Mary Jones & William Williams on the same page as the Drew entry which means both couples married sometime in the December qtr 1881 but not necessarily on the same day or even same month

The daughter Lydia age 9 in 1891 census has her mother's maiden name as Thomas on the GRO birth index.
In 1901 William is a widow and his mother-in-law Lydia Thomas is still living with the family. The youngest child Harriet  is age 6 so Margaret died between 1884-1901. William is still a widower in the 1911 census. There is no Mary Jones in the household in either census.
Which of the children is mentioned in the newspaper reports as being the child of Mary Jones?
I see that Harriet's husband George Llewellyn died in 1916. Harriet was left a widow with a son William John born 1913.
There is a death reg on FreeBMD for a Margaret Drew age 37 Mertyr t> reg district June 1/4 1899
As Carol says it will help if we know the relations name.

Hi both,
John Drew b 1892  is the person he was killed in France in WWII in 1917.  Its the right person but had to question I had I got the correct wife/mother when I read the article. I have never been able to find anything on Margaret's family only her Mother.
