County midwife. Info for Eva Brown nee Brightmore

Hi, I have a great Aunt who was a County midwife in Worksop on the 1939 register.
Where would I be able to find out any extra information on her occupation?
And did a County midwife do home calls or did she work within the hospital? (If she worked in the hospital it would have likely have been the Kilton hospital)
