Trawden Hill
« on: Sunday 11 June 23 11:08 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I have discovered what appears to be two brothers on the 1841 census listed at Trawden Hill.
They are not with their parents everyone on the page is a weaver.
Does anyone know anything about this place?

The boys are Thomas and Jonathan Gill aged 10 and 8.
They were baptized in 1842 with a father listed as Jonathan, and no mother listed.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you,
I will have read of it.
I just found it strange with everyone listed under the same place but not different homes.
Like it was one big place.

Possible;

Stone Gappe is an 18th-century house in Lothersdale, North Yorkshire, England; it is a Grade II* listed building.

Has a wiki page.

Lothersdale is a small village and civil parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England,[2] near Skipton and within the triangle formed by Skipton, Cross Hills and Colne*****

If I am on the right track Jonathan lost 2 wives fairly quickly and may explain why the boys are living with someone else in 1841.

Thanks, Trish,

yes, I agree, a sad time for the boys.
They ended up in Melbourne, Victoria.
