Clem(p)son family in Besselsleigh or Sandford St.Helens?
« on: Tuesday 13 June 23 14:39 BST (UK) »
In my tree I have Charlotte Clem(p)son, born 1788 Sandford St.Helens.  She married George King in

1814.  I'm trying to find her mother, I think her father was John Clem(p)son born c.1759 Berkshire

and I think her mother may be Sarah, but I don't know her surname or birthdate etc.

Any info would be extremely helpful.

Thank you.

I can see a baptism for a Charlotte Clempson 30 Mar 1788 at Cumnor, Berkshire - parents John & Sarah, is this who you mean

Hi Rosie, yes, that's who I mean.

Hi John, thanks for that, but is it likely to be the correct people with it being in St. Marylebone and them living in Berkshire?  Assuming Sarah lived in Berkshire!

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I have a copy of the transcripts for Cumnor (ex Oxford FHS) and the entry "rosie99" listed is recorded as
Charlotte Clarkson.
There are a few baptisms  later with the name(s) as Clempson & Clemson (parents John & Sarah) but no marriage that I can see in Cumnor.
