James Richards & Mary (Rowlands)

Looking for any info on my ggg grandparents: James Richards & wife Mary Rowlands of Newport, Pembs.
James was born circa 1811 in Newport - may have had at least one brother: Thomas
Mary was born circa 1814 in Penybryn, Cardiganshire
Info on James' parents would be particularly useful also.

Banns of marriage for the couple read in Nevern 20 Nov, 27 Nov & 4 Dec 1836 for James Richard of Nevern & Mary Rowland of Troedyraur. Marriage itself doesn't appear to be online.

I can see Mary & children in 1851 but no James.  Have you found him on any census?  If not - where did you get his birthyear & birthplace from?

They married on 20th December 1836 in Mary's parish of Troedyraur. Both bride and groom signed by mark. Witnesses were William Edwards and David Owens. Image is available on FindMyPast.

not seeing a baptism for Mary as yet but there is one 2 August 1818 at Penbryn for David son of James Davies & Catherine Rowland.

James' 1811 birth year was told me by a distant cousin but I've always suspected it's wrong.
I believe James and Mary had six children, one being John, my gg grandfather.
