14 Beaconsfield Villas, Brighton
« on: Thursday 15 June 23 11:47 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me regarding 14 Beaconsfield Villas, Brighton.

I believe it was a nursing Home in 1942. Would there be records for February 1942 and, would they have arranged a baby's funeral back then.

Thank you

Can't help with records, but it was called The Beacon Nursing Home, Beaconsfield Villas, Brighton. A few birth announcements in papers, but can't see a death announcement in 1942.

Good evening,

This will give you some idea of what the houses looked like. From memory they are numbered from the lower end. http://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume20/source/jg_20_133.htm

The '39 Register has Beacon House, private nursing home with 1 x nurse and 3 x domestics. Little likelihood of records but you could check East Sussex/Brighton Archives' catalogue.
