The "Joannes, 15 May 1839" baptism fits the GRO birth registration of John, registered Jun Qtr 1939 - post #6.

Hannah Johnson died of bronchitis in Leeds in 1884?
And was buried at Leeds General Cemetery, 4 June.
Age 49. Widow.
Born London.
Looking at the register, she is one of only a couple on the page with no names given for either parent. Is that significant? Informant was Mary Jane Johnson (her daughter?), who marked.
Does it say though that Hannah's father was a Sailor? Info from Mary Jane, presumably.

I thought it was tailor at first. Does it say sailor?
Try the records for merchant seamen, 1835-1857?

Back again. Have been arranging the internment of my son's ashes in July.

I have been through all my certificates. I lost a lot when my computer crashed about 5 years ago.

The only ones I am confident with are Hannah's marriage to James Johnson and Margaret Tuhey to Charles Smith. Margaret was the daughter of John Tuhey, Hannahs's brother.

I can't even find my Great Grandmother's marriage certificate  I have had for years.

I think this may be Hannah in the 51 Census but unsure as her surname looks like Toohey and she was born in Ireland
