Some strayed over the border too  ;)

There are other difficulties which may arise in searches.
This query is for Hinchliffe but both your recent posts refer to Hinchcliffe.
They are variations but might make a difference in searching.

Milliepede, do you know who Sarahs parents were in case children of James and Sarah were named after them.

Sadly not.  No father is named when she remarries and the youngest child listed in 1841 - John - who was born after birth registration and would have given her maiden name turned out to be daughter Charlotte's child.

Children's names were - Eliza - Charlotte - Amelia - Mark - Herodia/Rhoda - Elizabeth - Thomas - Emma - George.
No baptisms found for the youngest 4.

Thomas is my link and left Yorkshire for good between 1841/1851.  He has been easier to trace in this area as the name was not well known.

Have researched all the children apart from George who goes awol after 1851.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos
