She is with her Whittaker mother parents in Kent in 1939,  possibly indexed under Venison though all 4 surnames are shown on the image

ADDED FindMyPast has it indexed as Errington, Perkins, Whittakes

Where was it that you found the birth registered?  We could check a connection to Irene’s parents.   Where they were from etc maybe


Derbyshire. I can't see a death which would match the family story. I suspect the person is likely still alive

Yes I saw that in 1985.  Thanks for all your help.  I’m just wondering if she did have a child at all with Norman? It just seemed such an odd thing to say that his wife and child died in an air raid.  I could
Understand him saying she  died as an excuse instead of admitting the divorce but not the child.
