So we have established that Norman and Irene divorced and remarried.   The question of the son remains???? I have had a look in the Kent area for potential children born 1943 onwards.  With either Perkins or Whittaker surnames.   I have found a Whittaker born Q4 1943 registered Bromley Kent mothers name Whittaker with a death 2009.   I was just wondering your opinion on this.   I’ve based this on the fact that she was still in Kent when she married Arthur Errington and that her mother was still in the area too.

Nor have I managed to find a death of any child in the Kent area during the war with the surname Perkins or Whittaker. Any thoughts or opinions gratefully received ?

Be careful. If you can't find a death, you should amend your post to remove his name per forum rules.

There’s one in 2009 so I have edited the post accordingly

I have found a Whittaker born Q4 1943 registered Bromley Kent mothers name Whittaker with a death 2009.   I was just wondering your opinion on this.

Given Norman and Irene married in Q2 1943, I would have thought a child born after that date would be a Perkins

There's a Whittaker with mmn Whittaker b Q1 1940 Dartford

Yes I would’ve thought that too unless they split up very soon after marrying.  Maybe Norman was sent overseas and wasn’t around when the child was born.  It’s all very confusing and guess work unfortunately isn’t it?

I have sent a PM with information on where to order the will.  The death was fairly recent so have not posted details here
