You certainly are thorough Kloumann. So Father Adam born abt 1805, William born abt 1837. Does add up. Thank you.
At the moment, I am trying to find a death certificate for Annie in 1882 and hoping it has the same amount of detail as her husband William’s did.

I have found the death of a James Crossett, Sept 1, 1892 in Stratford, Perth Co., Ontario. He was born abt 1816 in Ireland so the age would fit although findagrave says his father is James. The Stratford Perth Archives is looking for an obit for me. His wife was Jane E. Lewis married 1854, probably Ontario, although she is also from Ireland with father Thomas Lewis, as per findagrave.

Not your James, I think.

Yes, it would appear that this is not the James Crossett I was looking for. Findagrave was correct that his father was James. I have found a more promising James Crossett  who died July 16, 1903 in Rookwood New South Wales, Australia. He married Mary Morton in 1879, not sure where. I have written to a friend in Australia to see if she can find an obituary.

Have you ruled out the James Crossett, b 1841-1843, Ireland, On Liverpool, England Census & 1880 marriage records. His father is named as John on his marriage to Elizabeth Green, 19. John is listed as a widow, age 38, Dock labourer. On 1891 census, he has a son, James, age 7.

You are marvellous, Kloumann. I think you have found a different James Crossett, son of John Crossett and Nancy Davison (Agnes Davidson) who married in Ireland in 1824. James was then born 1841, married Maria Turner in 1863 in Scotland, Sarah Jane born 1864 Scotland, son John L. born 1877, Maria died 1880, James remarried to Elizabeth Green in September 1880, son James born abt 1884, also daughter Sarah Jane married to Joseph Pearson in 1884. Not sure about Maggie Green age 9 on 1881 - Elizabeth’s younger sister?
Wonder where Elizabeth was in 1891. James says married.
Again, you are absolutely marvellous, Kloumann, to sort all this out.
