I do not see a baptism or marriage for Edward in Scotland. The age on the 1841 census would have been rounded down so he could have been born 1807 - 1811, or it may have been recorded wrong, either way there is no clear death in Great Britain.

Hi Sharon

Are you descended from one of the children?

Son Robert I think married Agnes Lees in 1858 in Bothwell, Lanarkshire. His marriage reg might give you some additional clues.

Sister Barbara's death is showing in Shotts in 1855. Again, parents' details may help from this.

There are poor relief applications for both daughter Margaret and son Robert as adults (in the 1890s). No additional details re parents just that both were deceased.

Im sorry I dont know how to reply to the individual messages. Col how can i see the thing with Eduard??
Someone else asked if I am a descendant, yes I am
Edward Colligan 1811 + Ann Cleland 1798-1863
their son Robert 1834 married Agnes Lees 1835
their son Robert 1872 married Elizabeth Andrew Ralston Fisher 1882
their son Robert Colligan 1902 married Isabella Wilson Stewart 1908, these are my grandparents
I have a decent tree on Ancestry but just cant seem to get any further than Edward, I know nothing, not his parents or siblings or what happened to him after the 1841 census.
Someone else asked if I had discounted the 1880 death record for Edward where no parents are listed, I dont think this is him because as far as I know he onnly married once and that was to Ann Cleland

I am grateful for all your suggestions and help, thank you all

The transcription with the name Eduard was on the 1841 census on freecen it is likely to be an error, have you seen the original document?

I can not find an 1851 census for Edward, it is a possibility he died before 1855 but there are no records on SP at Cambusnethan 1841 - 1855. What were the words used on Ann's death cert. relating to Edward?
