William Edward Pointer - Pub Landlord?
« on: Sunday 18 June 23 18:40 BST (UK) »
1911 Census records William Edward Pointer age 42 (c.1869) together with his wife Fanny Matilda aged 37 and their children living at 17 North  Street, Southampton.   William's occupation is recorded as a Licenced Victualler.

Was No 17 a public house and if so under what name?

13th May 1916 Hampshire Advertiser has what looks like a list of transfer of landlords including
"Charlotte Inn, Northsm-street, from William Edward Pointer;"

I only have free search for FindMyPast but found this on Google

Many thanks for your replies and in particular the attachments.   William Pointer died in 1916 and his wife, Fanny Elizabeth, married Arthur Knellar in 1918
