Family trees have his birth in 1861 Bourke street, Melbourne but no proof.  None have his parents listed..
He remarries in 1915to a Ruby?

I note he is buried in a paupers grave.

Ruby re-married a John Ernest POCOCK and is buried at Centennial Park Cemetery.

I realise this was a few months ago - are you still looking for children of Daniel BRENNAN's 2nd marriage?

There are these births on the SA Genealogy Index with father Daniel BRENNAN, registerd at Frome (which included Port Pirire at the time).

1923  Mary Virginia
1928  Ronald Francis  (Adelaide)
1928  Shirley Joan (Adelaide)

You would need to check that any or all of these are children to Daniel and Ruby Vile (nee BAKER), though it certainly looks like at least Daniel Francis Vile BRENNAN is one of theirs. Mother's name is not given on the index unless you have a subscription.

I notice that Daniel died at Aldgate in 1936, which is a suburb of Adelaide. Also a marriage notice for Shirley Joan BRENNAN, daughter of the late Daniel BRENNAN of Aldgate:
