Patrick was the son of Finane "Florence" O'Connor (c.1810-c.1893) of Gortnamackanee, Glenmore, Caherdaniel. In 1880, he married Mary Moriarty with whom he had at least one child. He continued to live in his native townland until 1893, at which point his father's leased land was repossessed by the Hartopps of Dalby Hall. After this, I lose the trail. At least two of his siblings, Michael (c.1848-?) and Mary (1851-?) settled in Indianapolis in c.1862 and c.1878, respectively, so it is quite possible that he followed them over to the USA.

Welcome to Rootschat  :)

Patrick CONNOR married Mary Moriarty in 1883- Patrick, whose residence was listed as Glenmore, was 29 so born c1854 and Mary ten years younger. A Dan Connor, who may or may not be related, was one of the witnesses.

Can you please post a link, or give details on the child that you did find to help us look further in Irish records.
