Well finally after a few aborted attempts at getting re-registered, and ordering up the file you wanted, I thought I had come away from the Archive yesterday morning with photos of the requested probate.
My preferred research camera, because of the size of image it takes and because it’s memory can store 60 to 70 pages [photos] without needing to be downloaded, was what I chose to use. The phone camera being too data large.
When I took it out of its bag, after having not been used for three years, it played up even with replacement batteries.
I played with it for a while before it appeared to be taking OK photos, So went for it, But now this morning, when downloading, have found while the first six photos are ok, the all important two of typed up will, are all foggy and unusable. Must be electrically related, as the lens was not steamed up, and I usually take two photos of each probate page, in case my hand was not steady enough.
I plan upon returning to Auckland, in the day time soon again, so will revisit and make sure I come away with Ok photos. Unfortunately most visits to, or through Auckland, have been at night since June last. Sorry.
