John Buckwell the dates I have are 1629 East Chiltington, Sussex, England – 1673 no mention of place.  Who did he marry was it Susan Pickham or Mary Rice or both?
John Buckwell had a son called John Buckwell 1659.
John Buckwell 1629 fathers name was Richard Buckwell 1597 – 1638, his wife was Joan. I don’t have a surname

John BUCKWELL (yeoman), married Suzan PICKHAM (spinster) both otp on 29 Jul 1656 at Holy Trinity, Hurstpierpoint.  "Married at Lyndfeild" .

John BUCKWELL married Mary RICE on 9 Feb 1696/97 at St Andrew, Steyning. No further details.

Being 40 years apart, I would think they are different men.

I can't see a baptism in 1629 for John, son of Richard and Joan. There is a baptism for a John BUCKWELL, son of Richard and Joan on 09 Mar 1654/55 (born 24 Feb 1654/55) at Hurstpierpoint.
