no unambiguous Death, nothing.

Dependent on the exact date of the burial in 1923, maybe
March 1923 Edmonton 3a 572
Cole, Sarah
Age 87

Yes; that's my current assumption.

in my OP I was talking about what I knew before I contacted the cemetery.

O.K. I've downloaded the census data, and recorded/plotted it, and found all the locations on the map.

I really don't like the "geography" of the 1891,1901,1911 records, for "my" Sarah Cole.

All her existence 1871 and prior is in Bethnal Green. In 1881, the entire Cole family move to Tottenham (and the household has John Thomas Bice as a boarder). In 1884 William Cole (the husband/father) dies, and the family sort of shatters.

Then... the 1891-1911 censuses show Sarah Cole spending 30 years in Hackney. Perhaps.

In 1921, she's lodging with her daughter (Jessie Amelia Cole) and Jessie's husband (John Thomas Bice) in Tottenham again.

In 1923 she dead, and buried in Tottenham Cemetery.

Sarah's "Hackney Years" just don't seem to fit nicely. Map attached.

They are within walking distance though, I suppose.
Have you looked for similar Sarahs  in earlier censuses who might have moved to Hackney?
Who was the informant on the death certificate?
Is there any other information there?

From what I can see, the Bice children were baptised in the Borough of Hackney.

In 1899, Jessie Sophia Bice was baptised in Dalton.
 The residence was Forest Road.

In 1901 was Woodland Street, Kingsland.
If I have the right addresses, they are just streets away from each other.

I'm now pretty happy that S-A-C was mainly living near (but not with) some of her children, and (thus) that the Census records for 1891,1901,1911 are the right ones.

Thanks to all for your help.
