George McKenzie

Hello all! I am writing from Canada and looking for information regarding my great uncle George. George was born at Lac Ste. Ann Alberta in 1910 and he was Indigenous. He had a family (or 2) here in Canada before going to the UK. All I know is that he died in December 1978 in Surrey England. I have been looking for more information about him for years and can't seem to find anything. I am incredibly grateful for any assistance. Thank you!

There is no match for his death in Surrey 1985-1989  - where did you get that info from?

Hello and welcome to Rootschat  :)

A published tree (I think there are several) has George Ralph McKenzie arriving in 1947. He was a Jeweller and was intending to go an address in Aldershot.
The death is shown as Surrey - 1978.

What do you think?

My apologies-1978. Family said that he had a family over there, but I can't find anyone nor any burial records. I am in Canada so am not very familiar with online resources for that area.

His full birthdate on the death reg is shown as 20.3.1910.  Do you have his full birthdate & was his middle name Ralph?

There is a lovely photograph of him on the tree with his wife and child. He is in military uniform.

The death certificate would hopefully give you his address, occupation and the informant’s name. This might not be helpful if he died in hospital.
