Google Chrome Blog Lines

[Girl Guide]

For the last couple of days I've been getting these Google Chrome Blog Lines boxes popping up in my email tab.  They are not actual emails, just boxes flogging various commodities.

I've tried to find out how to get rid of them but not getting anywhere. 

If someone can tell me how to stop these I would be most grateful.

Correction - they pop up on the computer regardless of what tab I have up.

I'll have to wait until one pops up.  I don't get them constantly.  No idea when I will get one again.

Would be useful to also know if you've any extensions added to Chrome and which OS (Windows/Linux/etc) you are using, and anything else that may be relevant.

I'm using Windows 10 and the only extensions I have are Ad Block +, Stylus and Google Docs Offline.

I've not had any more of the Blog Lines popping up and wonder if I possibly cured it by going into the notifications page and deleting some stuff from there.

I'll see what happens during tomorrow and if I receive no more of the Blog Lines I'll have to assume that what I did stopped the Blog Lines.

Since I wrote on the 29th June I've had no more of these Blog Lines, so I have to conclude that what I did in the notifications department stopped them coming.
