Clara Louisa Jeffreys 1845-1922
« on: Wednesday 28 June 23 22:14 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me find Clara's parents. I think that her birth may be ''Clara Jeffreys, mmn: Carter, 1845 in Clerkenwell'' and in the censuses she's with parents Charles and Martha. If this is her, I can't find her on the 1861 census and also can't find her parents marriage...

However I'm not completely sure it's Clara because on the birth it doesn't include her middle name Louisa and as a child, Louisa isn't included in her name. Although maybe not including middle names on records was fine? Or maybe she gave herself the middle name Louisa when she was older.. She doesn't seem to have been baptised.

I know Clara marries Henry Barter in 1864, Islington, but no father is on any records I don't think. In all the censuses with Henry + children, Clara gives her birth year as 1845 and mostly in Islington.

Any help/information appreciated!!  :)

Thank you both,
I thought it was her just wanted confirmation so thanks!
Also, just wondering where you find the marriage that showed Clara's dad as Charles? Is it on a specific website and not find my past, or maybe I completely missed it!
thanks again  :)
