1861 in Breadsall look for John THOMSON, born c 1813 Elsdon, Northumberland.

John/Hannah have a Daug Dorothy born 1838 Newburn, Northumberland and Granddaughter Elizabeth age 1 born Breadsall.

As I said worth considering :)

Thanks for this. I'll look into those. If that is Ellen as a servant in Walsall in 1881 that places her in Walsall and there is a Henry Thompson in Walsall. However the 1891 census having his birth as Derby was interesting and that Henry could be him as well.
