Great Warley
« on: Saturday 01 July 23 13:35 BST (UK) »
I am trying to work out where in Great Warley my great grandparents lived. The address in 1911 was Elm Terrace and in 1921 Elm Cottages, probably the same place. I have tried looking at maps, but the geography is a bit confusing and every other place seems to have "Elms" in its name!
Address in 1881, 2 Hirsh (Hush's?) Cottages, Headley Arms Common; 1891, Cottage, Headley Common; 1901, Near The Elms.

Thanks, Kay, that definitely seems to be Elms Terrace, and could also be described as "near the Elms". Presumably that is Warley Elms, which appears to be a large house.
