There is a George Cramb death in Tradeston 1940 aged 49 on SP.  Unfortunately no mmn shown

There is no George Cramb birth in Scotland 1889-1892 so it may be worth downloading that death cert to check as it will have his parents names

Details of the death of George Cramb 1940.

George Cramb, formerly Gabriel Galt Cramb, occ Biscuit Baker, married to Margaret Coutts Pirie.
Died 9.45 am 20th June 1940 at 15 Watt street Glasgow.
Father William Cramb (deceased) mother Agnes Cramb ms Galt (deceased)

George died of Cronic Bronchitis etc.
Margaret Galt registered the death.

His parents married in 1884, William CRAM

When George aged 29 married Margaret in 1920 Georges parents are William occ Joiner and Agnes.
Margaret C entyr records "daughter of a contractor", no names mentioned, she was aged 26

In 1911 census Margaret C Pirie ged 17 records pob as Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

The information you have all provided is simply incredible, and I do "thank you" each for the response.  I have only discovered a family connection through recent DNA results, and yes CaroleW, I am very pleased with the replies, especially the information that has been so generously provided by johnhood - again, "thank you".   

Once again, information obtained from Ancestry (hints) was incorrect! The old adage "not everything is as it seems" has proven to be true in this case!
