Archibald GILLIES

Hello, hoping someone can help!  I have hit a dead end in my researching.  I am trying to find an Archibald Gillies.  All the info I have on him is that he was a witness at the wedding of Elizabeth Smith and Andrew Clark in 1865 in Kirkintilloch. 
I suspect he is a cousin or other relation to Elizabeth as her grandmother was Hellen Gillies. (c.1800)
