Formatting external disk for Mac/Windows compatibility

...... just checking if exFat is the correct format to use for storing large image files to be read by both Mac and Windows.

Provided your Mac is using OS X 10.6.5 or later you should be OK with ExFAT. It's a Microsoft product so no problem with Windows back to XP.
