I cant really find anything conclusive.Theres quite a few Martha Squires born in Kent, but none that fits age wise.I did find a marriage between a John Skuer to Elizabeth Fagg at St Mary Bredin,Canterbury on 18th Sept 1750.If they had a daughter Martha, the time frame would be right, but i cant see a baptism.

Ive found a couple other Squer records in Kent.Theres a Henry Squer marriage 15th Oct 1780 Dymchurch,to Ann Ames(Amos).
Then a marriage on Aug 12th 1786 Holy Cross,Canterbury between Ann Squer and Robert Hammond.Im wondering if shes Henry Squers widow.
Theres also a baptism 11th Feb 1781 Dymchurch John Squer son of Henry and Ann.
Thats about all i can find in Kent.I do wonder if they might have come from a bit further afield,as its an unusual surname for Kent.
Any more help appreciated.

"Ann Squer and Robert Hammond.Im wondering if shes Henry Squers widow."

Robert Hammond, bachelor of New Romney, and Ann Squer, widow, of this parish, by licence, 1786.

Thanks.
So she was Henrys widow. There are very few examples of this surname in Kent,so im intrigued. The name sounds like it could be German to me.I do have quite a lot of German matches on MyHeritage,so that could be significant.Id like to know more about her,but i think i might struggle,im not the best researcher.

It is a very odd name, but that spelling (Squer) crops up in small numbers all over the country from the mid 1500s. Looking at transcriptions only.
You could do a "One name study"!
