Hi RJ, that is certainly interesting since it looks like the same man, although the way they wrote his name is totally different.
Will try find this out, the time frame is curious.

this is most helpful, now I go check army records, since he was Dutch he must have been naturalised to get in US army I think. From photo I know he was in Fort Leavenworth

No, he didn't have to get naturalized to get into the Army.  More info here - https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/our-history/overview-of-agency-history/military-naturalization-during-wwii

Dear RJ, is there anywhere we can find a divorce for Lucille with Barend or either of the other men, she was married at least 3 times, most interesting of course to the Dutch man.
Also cannot infd anywhere of they had a child.
He came from Australia already 1942 (she 1947),but according to the add of their marriage he was in the army already 1941 since he fought at Wake Island. So he quit the army after that?
Sorry for all these questions since I cannot seem to find what you found, ,aybe am missing some sites. Can only not access some sites since they need payment.
Have a good weekend

It appears the only child Lucille had was with David Temming and none with the other marriages.

In the obit for Lucille I posted, there is only one child listed, a Mrs Samuel Curley of Milwaukee, Wisc.

This is Lucille in the 1930 census with husband David P Temming and a daughter Norma, born around 1928/1929.

1930 census: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHFP-V6B

It appears Norma married several times. William Gaffred in 1951, then a Samuel Curley as mentioned in Lucille's obit, and then it appears to last name “Hubbard”. It appears she divorced "Hubbard" and went back to Curley as her surname, and is the name on her death record.

Marriage 1951: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:7WG7-K5T2

Norma died in 1981.

Hi RJ, seems you have an easy way to find data in the usa: what i am most interested in now is: did Lucille have any kids with Barend van der Wekken (or in US misspelled as Baiend G Geirit Fenderwekken).
They both came from Australia, she in 1947 and he in 1942, although the marriage add you sent stated he fought in the Wake Island battle and that was I think 1941.
