Thank you for your contributions.

Sadly it appears the details I am searching for may remain undiscovered.......a pity, but that infamous "brickwall" is having a say!!!!   I have a fairly comprehensive narrative for him after his transportation to NZ in 1843 and adding his parental family details would be some satisfaction.

Did you find his parents and siblings on 1841 or following  census?, if he eas only 13 I would imagine he would have more siblings

I tried every possible Index, including the 1841 Census, but no James EGGERTON or his wife.

Apologies if I have missed something, but how do you know the names of his parents? Were they named on a certificate or something like that?

James and Margurite/Margaret,  née Webster.would have thought Margurite  might have found  her
BACS, have you tried just Margurite  on 1841 .

Proceedings at the Old Bailey have his age as 19 on 6 April 1840 name spelled Eggenton

The names of his parents were passed to me by his late GG Granddaughter who also failed to find unearth any other details.

Australian/New Zealand death certificates name the parents. What/who  is listed on his ?
