Griffith's Valuation shows a Samuel King leasing a house and garden in Dooballagh, the local print date was 1858.

Hi troops, if the picture holds and is not too big. It looks like me to be Doovala and Glenolly/Glenotty. Any advance on those previously stated? The second could be Gleneely near Moville. In case the picture does not take. This is for the note on the manifest/passenger list of the 'Neptune' to Sydney in 1852. Samuel King aged 22, Doovala, co Donegal, [parents] Samuel & Sarah both living in the Co. Donegal. Mary King aged 20, Glenotty, co. Donegal, [parents] Alexander & Mary both living in Glenolly in Co. Donegal.

Cheers
Jack

Looking at the wee snippet it definitely looks like Doobala rather than Doovale so Dooballagh seems perfect.

Gaffy, do you have a free source for your 1827 Samuel King baptism?

Thanks to all for your input - great stuff.

Cheers
Jack
