Help finding a French 1776 marriage please

The transcript listings for Montreuil sur Mer, pas de Calais, show a marriage for Marie Jeanne Francoise Retourné 9.11.1776 at St Wallois.
She was the daughter of Marie Jeanne Bertolle and Antoine Retourné.
This 1776 marriage gives the groom’s name as Francois Louis Lerouye.
This must be a mistranscription.
Her husband’s name was Francois Louis Verrier.

There are many other records in the Montreuil registers for Notre Dame, that give his name as Verrier.
Their first child, Charles Francois Marie Verrier was baptised  14.4.1777.
There are also two of their 7 children transcribed as ‘Leroy’ in the listings, but I have found their baptisms in the films, and the name is clearly Verrier, so I don’t know what has happened in the transcription list.

I cannot find this marriage in 1776 under any permutaion of names.
It does not appear on a search on MYHeritage.
As kind Rootschatters who have helped me previously are aware, there are several churches in Montreuil Sur Mer.
There seems to be no information on the listings thst DO show up on MyHeritage as to which church they come from.
Notre Dame and St Pierre are the most lilely two, and it may be that the registers of ST Walloy are not on there.
However, I have looked at the film on the pas de Calais website, and can’t see the marriage in the St Walloy registers. (I always find the pas de Calais website so frustrating - it takes ages and ages to load images - I don’t know what system they run, but I’m sure there’s a better one! MyHeritage is so quick and easy.).

Can anyone help to find this marriage?

Your link to the pas de Calais archives just takes me to page one of the film with St Wallois in.
I've looked through this before as I said, without success.
Do you have a frame number for the image of the actual marriage? There are 1308 images on the film, for various churches.

It's a shame the films on familysearch are not yet digitised .That link just takes you to the page that tells you they have some films, but you can't look at them.

Hello goldie ,

Lerouye can be Leroy or Lerouge.
Can you give the years of th other births.

She may have had children called Leroy or Lerouge and children called Verrier , depending on the dates ( may have been a widow , and remarried)

Added : The groom may also have beed called Leroy (Lerouge) dit Verrier or Verrier dit Leroy or Lerouge, in this case the children were either called Verrier or Leroy ( Lerouge )  .

Ps: as I already said months ago , I have absolutely no difficulty with the Montreuil images . They are loaded at once on my computer.

L'an 1776 et le 9 novembre nous curé de cette paroisse avons marié solennellement et en face de l'église françois louis .. dit verrier tailleur d'h (habits) agé de 26 ans fils de ...laurent ... dit verrier et de marie..cailleux de la  paroisse de ...d'une part et marie jeanne françoise ..;tou..née agée de 25 ans fille d'antoine ... et de marie jeanne bertole de l'autre part les bans de ce mariage ont été publiés tant dans cette paroisse que dans celle de st pierre sans opposition ni empechement les fiancailles ont été celebré selon l'usage etc ...


I can't really decipher the name ...dit verrier but I don't think it is leroy or lerouge

I think the name before 'Dit Verrier' in the margin looks like 'Verigole'
Having now found that, the marriage comes up in the Montreuil transcriptions using that name.
They have the wife as Marie Jeanne Francoise La Fontan,
Her name was actually Marie Jeanne Francoise Retourne. It's a little easier to make out the name of her father Antoine Retourne further down, but the whole entry is so messy with bleed through from the page before, it's difficult to make out.
His parish could be N dame I think.
Goodness only knows why it's transcribed as Lerouye.
It's the same with the two children - Marie Francoise Rose 22.6.1790 at St Firmin. and Francois Stanislas Celestin 20 .1. 1787 St Firmin. Both are given as Leroy, but I have seen the entries, and it definitely says Verrier. Not a Leroy in sight.
It's very odd.

There is a marriage for Laurent Verrier to Marie Anne Cayeux 1734, which must be Francois Louis parents.
