Realized I misread it and deleted the reference.

1920 I have it correctly.

She is not with Ellen and her second husband Alfred Beasley in 1921.

Thanks Lizzie,
Elizabeth's parents were John & Ellen New, so that discounts that theory on the Newport fellow.
Jan

familytree - parents John and Ellen - born Newbury - of course the tree could be wrong - it states she died 1899  - is this her - or the wrong Elizabeth ??  if it is the wrong family i will delete this post

Yes definitely with her Mother in 1911 and with her sister's family in 1901, she had remained in Newbury up until her Mother's death late 1911.

So her two brothers John New b. 1865, Charles New b. 1854 and Daniel New b. 1876 all migrated to Australia in 1911/1912.  Charles New late 1911 and he was living in Birmingham area just before he left England, John New was in Newbury with a nephew before me left and Daniel New was married to Beatrice Lewis before he migrated in 1912.

There was a mention by a family descendant that Elizabeth married Ernest Brown, but that doesn't work out either, as the date of birth is absolutely wrong in 1939 census.     She was definitely alive in 1899, as she was living with her Mother Ellen New in 1911 census.
