Frederick T W Sealey b. April 1874
« on: Monday 10 July 23 07:13 BST (UK) »
Going round in circles here so hope someone can help me stop. Frederick T W Sealey b. 1874 in Cheshunt Hertfordshire but in 1881 resides with father Henry a police constable born Charlton Wilts c.1840, mother Emily ( 'Turpin' b. Watford c.1845) and siblings Helen E, Harry Charles, Kate Elizabeth, Albert Edward, George Wm and Sydney John in Sunbury on Thames - BUT then nothing except index from  Royal Chelsea Pensioner Soldier Service naming a Frederick Thomas Walter Sealey b. 1874 nothing else.
Any clues as to what happened to him would be most appreciated.

He first joined the militia battalion of the Royal West Surrey regiment in June 1892. He was a baker by trade and gave his address as 47 Philip Road, Sunbury, and a previous address as 2 Washington Villas, Stones Road, Peckham.

He also gave 47 Philip Road as the address of his master, a Mr Harris. This could be either Sunbury or Peckham. (EDIT: Stephen Harris was a baker at 46 Philip Road, Camberwell/Peckham).

Shortly after joining the militia he signed up as a regular soldier in the same regiment (number 4058). Then he gave his father's address as 2 Washington Villas, Sunbury. All very confusing.

Apart from 7 months in Malta in 1893 his service was in the home islands. He was discharged in 1897 as medically unfit. Perforated eardrum. Also suffering from syphilis.

I haven't looked for him anywhere else..It was the baker that caught my eye!
