This is the baptism that I've already ruled out. I believe this is the Emma Frances Reeves who married Samuel Silverton 1869.

How do you know then?

This is what I want to find out. Like I said before, I have traced this Emma Reeves and found there is a marriage to Samuel Silverton in 1869 and have found them in all censuses so I don't think she's the one I'm looking for.

Emma married Joseph Dawson in 1878.

Joseph Dawson died in March of 1884 in London.

Due to the loss of Joseph, she remarried in 1886 to a man called William Henry Gardner.

My baptism record doesn't match Mrs. Silverton. Why? Because each record suggests her date of birth as 1848 in Hoxton, London, England. That's 4 years off and it is a different place. On the other hand, Mrs. Dawson/Gardener is the match because she was born in 1852 and she is listed as born in London, Middlesex, England...

Just bought the digital image of birth cert for Frederick, and mother is Emma Reeves and father George Baldwin. They're living at the same address as Dawson's in census.

1871 has this family
328 /59/63

George Balwin 22 yrs Costermonger b Hackney
Emma 20 yrs b Bethnal Green
Rachel 1 day old b Hackney

Looking at the Samuel Silverton and Emma family in 1881, if I have the right family, the children have a mother’s  maiden name of Dines.

The Silverton family
1871 502 /48/19
Samuel, and Emma have baby Emma aged 4 months
Birth Emma Mary Ann Silverton 1871 - no mother’s maiden name

The next child should be William but I can’t spot this birth.

David b 1874 has mmn Dines - as do George, Henry and Thomas.

I don’t think that Emma Reeves continued in her marriage with Samuel Silverton.
