Letters H.M in the margin of a baptism certificate

What do the letters H.M mean in the margin of a baptism certificate ? late 19th century . the mother was not married.

Can you tell us which country you are referring to, please!

Sorry , it was in  Rio de Janeiro , Christ church .

The x shows that it refers to the crossing out in the third box. One possibility is that it's the initials of the person who made that alteration. It's odd that no alternative was entered, unless there's something further over. Can we see the whole entry?

PS Ah, I see the mother was unmarried. I suppose that box is for the father's name and her name was entered by mistake.

I was wondering does it refer to Habilitação Matrimonial which seems to translate to marital qualification

The rest appears to be in English. Is it actually a certificate, or rather part of a baptism register? Usually if you make a mistake writing out a certificate you would just start another, not make a correction.
