The announcement could have been submitted to the paper prior to the marriage  :-\.  But where is Jane after the supposed marriage date

Yes that's the question! I've found a possibility for William in the 1861 census living in Condover with his parents, aged 26 he's a tailor, marital status married but no sign of a wife!
