Hi Osprey -- yes those are exactly what I found for William.

The names of the parents and the occupation of the father, Joseph, do fit in. Of course, as well, William's eldest son was named Joseph and a daughter was named Isabella.

Unfortunately, as he died in 1839 - I don't have his birthplace. His wife/ partner came from Downham - the couple then lived in Clitheroe, had 2 children - moved to Cheshire - had 2 more children - moved to Liverpool where more children were born.

Honestly - these bits of 'missing evidence', such as a stated birthplace are a pain in the neck. He moved all over the place, probably with work. I do think it's him, born in Barrowford - such a coincidence with the names and occupation. Nothing to hit the nail on the head though.

(In 1841 there is a Thomas Wilkinson, Mason - living on the same street where William and Alice had lived in 1831. Joseph and Bella's eldest son was named Thomas.) I am up to trying to find him on later census records to check his birthplace.

Thank you Osprey - you confirm my find and ponderings!! It's so kind of you to have checked on this.
