On Google Maps, The Island appears to be a street?

The side-by-side map view linked here indicates that The Island was a street and a large building of some sort. The street is still there:

The house is mentioned on the WP page for Midsomer Norton, in connection with Evelyn Waugh:

I have looked through all 19 households that are found by FindMyPast address search for "The Island" in  Midsomer Norton in the 1921 census and did not find a sanatorium. However, unless I missed it, I don't think that number 11 was listed.

Is Gertrude Hayter the daughter of William and Mary Anne, born 1893? If so, as you may know, in 1921 she is with her parents at Bulford Barracks in Wiltshire, so there is no obvious link to Midsomer Norton.

The fairly central position of The Island isn’t particularly consistent with there being a sanatorium there.

A similar view to the photo that hanes teulu linked to. Apologies, I can’t find a way to suppress the info icons on Streetview.
