Just checked it was not an affidavit , it was a letter to the court.

Patrick Kelly Snr Born c 1803 in County of Limerick, Ireland

He attested for the 40th regiment of foot at Limerick on July 6th 1824 at aged 21

He served N.S.W. Australia for 3 years
He then served East Indies for 11 year
He then served Afghanistan for 3 years
Then discharged at Chatham 12th July 1845
Then to N.Z. in 1847

Witnesses on marriage of Patrick thomas Kelly Jnr in 1884
are Patrick Kelly (Westport) Miner
      Mary Glen Williamson (Westport)
