KELLY.—On October 10, 1901, at "Westport, Joseph Kelly, fourth son of the late Sergeant Kelly, of Onehunga, and beloved brother of Mrs O'Connor, of Auckland.

I read that to mean there are at least four sons in the family, and sister Mrs O'CONNOR?

Mrs O'CONNOR is also source of information on his death record?

Mrs O'Connor on his death record etc where do I find that. I have not seen this before ,Thanks

I do not know if Mrs O'CONNOR is the informant. When Joseph KELLY dies, 1901, there is someone around to put the notice in the newspaper, and who has knowledge of Joseph's family, such as to describe Joseph by birth order, and father's name.

Who would that be?

I just found a British Army Service record and it states Patrick Kelly was born c1803 ,                 Parish of Birth is Foughinna,
County of Birth is Limerick

Also there is an Elizabeth Kelly died 1878 onehunga , I have not got that yet as thought there would be not alot on it , but now I see its after 1875 so could be more information like you suggest.

Elizabeth Kelly born Malone is on the Ramillies ship (Fencible ) data I was sent years ago.

When Joseph Kelly died in 1901 , he seems to only have Patrick Thomas Kelly his brother in Westport  as he died 1926 and Annie O'Connor in Onehunga  she died April 1903.

It must have been Patrick Thomas Kelly as both in same town
