John Andrew Reid Liverpool
« on: Saturday 15 July 23 07:15 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Looking for any information regarding John Andrew Reid who married Catherine Donohoe in 1881 in Dublin.

His marriage cert states he was from 61 Rose Vale, Liverpool and worked as a stewart on board the steamship Kildare.

His father was William Reid.

Thanks

How old was he when he married?

Where did you get the father's name?

ADDED
What was his father's occupation

It is a very common name

FindMyPast for 1871 and 1881 I cannot find a family named Reid living on Rose Vale, however

all the street numbers are even numbers no odd numbers, maybe someone else has better luck

I agree with amondg, number 61 existed in the 1891 census but prior to that the numbering system is complex, based around courts was my interpretation.

This map view from the large scale town plan of 1891 shows the courts in Rose Vale Street, although it does change further to the east.
