Help with finding Ann Eliza Harrison between 1871 and 1897
« on: Saturday 15 July 23 13:56 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone

I'm struggling with finding whereabouts my great grandmother was between 1871 and 1897. She was born in Broadholme in Sept 1826, baptised on 19th October. Parents are Hannah and Henry Harrison. I can find her aged 9 on the 1871 Census, living with her parents in Broadholme. Then the trail disappears and I cant find her. I know that she is in Lincoln in May 1897 as her son Bertie is born here. No idea who the father is.

She then marries my great grandad Joseph Taylor in Sutton Bridge, Lincs on 2nd February 1899. They then reside in Sutton Bridge and go on to have 3 children. She dies in Spalding on 6 Dec 1956. She made the local newspaper when she turned 95.

However I cannot find her whereabouts after the 1871 Census and wondered if anyone can help with finding her after then.

Thank you.

I know that she is in Lincoln in May 1897 as her son Bertie is born here.

What address is on the birth certificate?  Does it give any occupation for her, wondering if she left home and went into service as many young women did.

I don't actually have his birth certificate, this information was written down in the family bible.

Have you found the rest of her family in 1881?

I see her sisters went into service and she isn't with her parents but have you found all her siblings in case they were together?

My mistake when typing. She was born 1862 and was baptised on 19th October 1862.
