24 Ruthin Street, Liverpool
« on: Monday 17 July 23 05:41 BST (UK) »
I am currently researching 24 Ruthin Street. I believe they have changed the name of the street.

Here are some Residents of 24 Ruthin Street:

Samuel Pickering 1868-1870
???
William Williams 1873-1873
Edward Ewan 1874-1874 (possibly Edwards Evans, 1873)
Thomas Daulby 1874-1876
Thomas Jutson 1877-1878
???
Frederick Addison 1880-1881
William Beh 1881-1882
Thomas Wood 1883-1884
Charles McComb 1885-1888
???
William Pearson 1895-1899
Henry Hames 1900-1901
???
Albert Reynolds 1904-1908
James Disley 1910-1911
Alfred Quine 1912-1913
John Pinnington (Bielfeldt) 1914-1961
Edward Potter 1926-1926
Haakon Theodore Kasch 1945-1950
Robert Atkinson 1963-1964

Note: When a resident is found, I will change it and credit the rootschatter. It will be bold.

If anyone is willing to help search for more information on the House and the residents, that would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Which Ruthin Street are you after - which city or town? (There are a few  ;) )

Modified to add:
I'm guessing Liverpool? I see a birth notice for a son of Thomas DAULBY in 1874 here.

I was able to locate Samuel’s Father, Thomas James Pickering:

Cemetery Record - Thomas James PICKERING - Buried May 4th, 1868

Doesn't it say Thomas James PICKERING was aged 12 months when buried in 1868?

All those ‘residents’ seem to be children who died young,  except for John Pinnington
How did you come by that list?
It makes me think it is an institution of some sort.

I think the dates after the names are the years they were resident at the address, not their birth and death.  :)

From what I have read, the area was developed in 1863 by a Mr HUGHES who built rows of houses, giving the streets Welsh names, including Ruthin St, the so called "Welsh Streets" of Liverpool.
