Cas, I think you might have found her!

1921 in Farnham
Minnie is a cook her age is 30yrs 10mths which puts her birth as Aug 1889. Exactly right.

Could this Minnie be the one below

COOK, MINNIE  DAISY     LAW
GRO Reference: 1889  D Quarter in FARNHAM  Volume 02A  Page 96

Sorry that was a typo. The probate I ordered related to a Minnie Cook who died 17 June 1967.

Your opening post says she was b 9.8.1889 Taunton which ties in with the Sept 1889 birth reg.

The tree on Ancestry has her birth as 8.9.1890 but shows her baptism as 8.9.1889 - baptised a year before birth 😂😂

Thank you Rosie, I can scrub the Farnham one off the list now.

Yes the online tree owner is quite distant which is why I am concerned over the death dates. I am only buying the probate to double check really and settle it one way or another. It will be worth £1.50 even if it’s not her.

I still have to check the Minnie travelling from Montreal, I’m not, sure how she could be a domestic servant in Westbury on Trym on the 1911 census and later that year return from Canada a nurse… unless, of course she is not the domestic servant in 1911.

I can scrub the Farnham one off the list now.

But the 1921 free index says Minnie Cook in Farnham Rural was born Weston, Somerset?

Jonw65, that is so obvious how comes I missed that, the devil is in the detail. Thanks for reinstating her as a contender

Minnie Cook born 9 Aug 1889 in Axbridge

Though I don't know why Minnie didn't say she was born in Axbridge.
The 1889 PO Directory has a Thomas Cook, George inn, Market Place (Axbridge). Is that where Minnie was born?
